As a non-profit production company, volunteers are the lifeblood of our shows, giving their time every show night to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for our audience. We are truly grateful for the generosity of all of our volunteers for their commitment to theatre and Concrete Vertigo Productions.
Volunteering for a production is a great way to meet people, gain valuable experience in theatre and support a non-profit organization. Our volunteers are supported every step of the way, and encouraged to learn new skills, develop industry contacts and to have fun!
Specific Volunteer Roles
From time to time we are in need of volunteers to help with specific tasks, either before or during a show. Check back here for specific roles as they come up!
General Volunteer Roles
Pre-production: There is always a ton of work to do before we open our shows – fundraising, costume-making parties, set design and build. This is the nitty gritty prep work that makes our shows look effortless.
Front of House: Our front of house team loves to get into character and extend the show experience outside of the theatre doors. This is our biggest team for every show, responsible for ensuring the needs of our audience are covered. Front of house roles include box office, usher, bartender (must have Serving It Right), greeter and cleanup.
Backstage: Go behind the scenes and see the heart of our shows. From fast costume and set changes to helping our actors prepare for their scenes, this role will put you in the middle of the backstage action.
We couldn’t do it without our volunteers, and it is important to us to recognize their commitment and hard work. Volunteers get a free ticket to the show, concession drinks and snacks and an awesome team party at the end of the show run.
